Community Spotlight: Percy's & Co.

Where craft cocktails, history, and garden vibes meet.

Take a walk back in time while enjoying your favorite apothecary drink or craft cocktail.

Percy's & Co. is what happens when a craft cocktail bar, a secret garden, and a little piece of old Ballard history decide to throw a party together. Step inside and you'll find exposed brick, warm lighting, vintage apothecary vibes, and bartenders who seem to have a magical ability to turn "I don't know what I want" into your new favorite cocktail.

We pulled up a barstool with Jason Weigel, Operations Manager at Percy's & Co., to uncover the secret ingredients behind the atmosphere, the cocktails, and why guests keep coming back for another round.

How would you describe the overall vibe and experience at Percy's & Co?

Jason Weigel: Percy's is a laid-back personal experience! The vibe is a homey, well-intentioned, safe place for all walks of life. We promote creativity and want to host a space where people can come mingle, and network.

What are some of your signature dishes or drinks that customers must try?

JW: One of our best sellers is our Ballard Hot Chicken Sandwich. Our best-selling drink is going to be the Honeybee or the Stone Cold Steve Matcha. Honorable mention goes to our Blistered Shishitos and Carnitas Tacos.

What role do you think bars/restaurants play in fostering connection and belonging in a city?

JW: I think bars have a huge role in fostering connections with people who might not think they would be a good match. Personally, I have gained so much from hanging out at bars and meeting people who I never thought would be a good match. It's really helped me grow my own bar by networking.

Percy & Co is featured during Pride Month—what does that mean to you?

JW: I'm proud to have Percy's be a part of Pride Month. I was raised by two loving fathers who also helped me get to where I am today. I credit them for making me who I am and the success that came along with getting into the bar industry. I always choose to involve Percy's in any sort of Pride and LGBTQ+ rights-based events. It holds a special place in my heart!

What’s next for Percy & Co? Any upcoming events, menu changes, or expansions?

JW: Percy's & Co is always evolving. Its core is rooted in craft cocktails and elevated bites with a beautiful aesthetic. The culture of our clientele is ever-changing and inclusive through the events we choose to host. The next event is a DJ Boiler Room set in our back patio. We are looking to launch a summer menu in the next month or so. No expansions for Percy's itself, however, I did just acquire King's Hardware, which has now become our sister bar! We are looking to throw partnered events this summer.

So, in conclusion...

The food brings the comfort, the cocktails bring the creativity, and the atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between cozy neighborhood hangout and stylish date-night destination. Whether you're there for brunch, happy hour, or a late-night drink, Percy's feels like the kind of place where every visit turns into "just one more cocktail."
