It All Began When...
Back in 2011 Seattle native, Ahmad Corner, started what's now known as YPCommunities, after being frustrated with local networking opportunities that existed at the time.

The idea was to create a community by following a simple formula: be inclusive, be intentional and be responsive.
Out of this came a casual networking happy hour (no name tags, no sales pitches, no judgment) that recurred on the last Tuesday of every month.

A few years later, the Seattle founded networking organization (Young Professionals of Seattle, at the time) had grown to several thousand members, hosting dozens of annual events while connecting Members to experiences, professional resources, jobs and other young professionals in their community.

Now, as YPCommunities, we're able to apply the same inclusive, intentional and responsive formula to networking events; creating intersectional, resourceful, digitally connected communities around the globe.
