Mercy Housing is redefining affordable, low-income housing. They are a national nonprofit organization that is working to build a more humane world where communities are healthy and all people can develop their full potential.

 

Mercy Housing is one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations. They participate in the development, preservation, management and/or financing of affordable, program-enriched housing across the country. They acquire and renovate existing housing, as well as develop new affordable rental properties.

Throughout the quarter, we facilitate 3 avenues for community members to make an impact on the nonproifts in our community?

Each quarter, our community focused activities, supporting respective nonprofits, follow a monthly cadence. Month 1: raising awareness (Learn); Month 2: volunteering (Engage); and Month 3: fundraising (Give).

LEARN

The first month of each quarter we focus on driving awareness or educating community members about the work of our Impact Partner. We do this through feature article(s), virtual or in-person events (workshops, panel discussions, etc.) and publishing or promoting jobs or other related content from our about our Impact Partner:

ENGAGE

We facilitate community engagement through volunteer opportunities supporting our Impact Partner - which traditionally fall to the 2nd month of each quarter - and by providing space to connect with representatives from our Impact Partner organization, often times at our monthly happy hour events:

GIVE

Throughout the quarter, we offer various opportunities to 'GIVE,' with a special focus on the third month. This is when we highlight donation drives and initiatives aimed at supporting our nonprofit partners.

2023 Holiday Toy Drive

Tuesday, December 12th through Tuesday, December 19th as we make children at Mercy Housing holidays brighter by collecting new toys for them.

 

The children are ages 0-10 years. We have set up 3 locations you can drop off toys and an Amazon wish list you can purchase toys from and have them shipped directly to Mercy Housing!
