The Hot Seat (Fireside Chat) is a moderated conversation featuring leaders and people of influence from the business community and public sector. By highlighting stories of success (primarily from women and people of color), this event is designed to be an inspirational, mentorial resource for entrepreneurs and professionals.

About Your Guest:

Dr. Cheryl Ingram aka Dr. CI, is  a very successful entrepreneur, blogger, content creator and author who has dedicated her professional career top solving issues of discrimination and oppression in workplaces and educational institutions. Dr. CI is the CEO and founder of Inclusology (a software company that is working to build the world's greatest benchmarks for DEI) and the President of the Diverse City Group  (a diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting firm working with organizations across the United States). 

Cheryl has been training and coaching in the area of diversity and inclusion for 20+ years. She has her Doctorate of Education with a specialization in D&I, a Master of Arts in Education, and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, all from New Mexico State University. Cheryl's company works with clients such as Netflix, Uber, Foursquare, University of Washington and others to help them build sustainable and fair DEI Practices. She recently published a book called Soulful Words that is a guide to help institutions how to navigate issues of discrimination.

About Your Host, Rubelyn Chu:

Rubelyn Chu is the GM of ProDev, part of the YPC non-profit organization, and Co-Founder of Access2, a sourcing and staffing marketplace that operates in tandem with community organizations. We help ensure that space is occupied by providing opportunity through events and storytelling through our unique platform, one of them being sports.

Rubelyn is also part of the Alumni Advisory Board and Advisee in the Entrepreneurship Program at Northwest University and is a mentor to local high school and college students and in the local startup community. When she isn’t working, she can be found in the gym, going on road trips/traveling or with family and friends.
