Last Tuesday - September | a (Virtual) YPOSeattle Happy Hour

For the past 9 years our Last Tuesday Happy Hours events have been a Seattle staple; an in-person event we enjoyed hosting each month that featured 150+ of the most important people in the community: YOU!  

Well, the world is different now. Your health and safety is our priority so virtual is our new reality. So we changed things around to accommodate for the new landscape while maintaining our signature YPOSeattle happy hour style (see below). 

Our new, virtual, Happy Hour will 3 have different topic oriented rooms (you choose your topic at registration) + a cocktail making class to kick things off. 

note: you can purchase a Cocktail Making Box ahead of time, thanks to our partners Zeacon, Absolute Vodka and Jameson Whiskey, with a portion of proceed benefiting the: Bartenders Emergency Assistance Program.

So reserve your spot, purchase a box (if you so choose) and we'll see you on September 29th at 5:30pm!

The Happy Hour Schedule:

5:30PM - 6:15PM | Casual Networking & Cocktail Making Class 

You have the opportunity to create a couple of cocktails with one of our favorites brands: Jameson. This warm up session will feature an instructor, instructions and of course, other like-minded professionals! 

For those who purchase, your Cocktail Making Box will include: Jameson, lime/lemon, ginger beer, Jameson swag (get pumped it’s some pretty cool stuff) and digital discounts from a few community partners (sent directly to your inbox).

6:15PM - 7:15PM | Breakout Sessions 

• Room #1 - Themed Networking: This month, we're doing a game room, which is EXACTLY what you think it is! We're keeping this room, light, fun, and full of competition.  Get ready to have a fun time!
• Room #2 - Jos Connector: Think of the Job Connector room like a virtual jobs fair, where you get to have a casual conversation with a career coach, a hiring manager or recruiter from a company looking to fill roles and your peers while picking up tips and tricks to stand out when applying for a position.
• Room #3 - Current Events: this month’s topic is Voting & Voter Suppression. Join YP Impact for a discussion on voting and voter suppression. Learn how voting has been suppressed in the past and in the present, as well as resources for the upcoming election and how to filter out the noise and find out the facts.  Each month, the Current Events room will leverage a digital resource as a tool to help carry the conversation.  This month’s conversation resource is the Amazon Documentary: All in: The Fight for Democracy.

YP Impact will be streaming the documentary on Monday, September 21st, for those who’d like to watch ahead of time in a group setting. Join us then, or watch it on your own.

7:00PM - Whenever | Casual Networking 

We will all reconvene in the “main” room for some more digitally awesome networking!  Feel free to check out whenever you like but don't forget to drop a link in chat to your LinkedIn profile before you leave.

About Last Tuesday 

Launched back in 2011, Last Tuesday is a casual networking happy hour event (no name tags, no sales pitches, no judgment) that falls on the last Tuesday of every month. 

Pre-Covid, the YPOSeattle events team would pick various venues throughout the city to host 200 or so of Seattle’s best, in an effort to better connect the most ambitious and motivated individuals in the community. Think of this as an intro to networking, or a laid back way for the power networker, the job seeker, recruiter or business owner to meet and interact with hundreds of other young
