Toast presents: Championing Women in Tech Every Day
Let's Toast to the Women's History Month in Seattle by celebrating women in tech!
This event is open to everyone passionate about gender equity in the tech industry. Whether you're a professional in the field, an ally, or someone interested in learning more about how you can contribute to this important cause, your presence and participation are invaluable.
We aim to have 25% of our attendees identify as men. Why? With a staggering 80-90% of tech leadership identifying as men, it is critical for men to be a part of the conversation and learn how to take action to champion women.
About Toast:
Toast is a collective aimed at helping more women in tech get the jobs they want and the pay For decades, women have conformed to fit into a tech workforce designed by men, for men. A workforce that holds us hostage until 5pm, criticizes us for a resume gap, and chastises us for expecting to be paid like our male counterparts.
And for decades, we’ve fought to make things more inclusive, more accessible. But then something clicked. We realized that instead of improving the status quo, we had to redefine it altogether.
Toast is a membership-based women’s collective founded to flip the hiring dynamic in favour of women in tech.
Our collective provides a platform for mentorship, growth opportunities, and a community to combat the lonely only phenomena often experienced by women in the tech field.
We connect women to roles we believe in at companies we trust. We advocate—and negotiate—on behalf of our talent to make sure they’re getting exactly what they deserve: more money, more flexibility, less bullsh*t.
We help women do the work that they want, for the pay they deserve, and with a community that supports them.
