About the Event

Explore the five thresholds that most often prevent us from moving forward in anything we do. There are a million reasons not to do something new—why we can’t, why it won’t work, and why we have to wait for a better time. The reasons act like thresholds or barriers that hold us back from trying new things, experimenting, or taking risks with exciting payoffs at work and in life.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the five thresholds that most often prevent us from moving forward in anything we do, whether it’s project management, team leadership, a promotion, building relationships, or pursuing a passion. And we’ll discuss what to do when you encounter a threshold so you can successfully move through. Audience: New and experienced managers, team leaders, and individual contributors.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The 5 Thresholds Silliness, Knowledge, Trust, Sanity, and Love—and how they look at work (and in life)
  • How to notice you’re at a threshold—the stories and reasons you default to— and how to break them down
  • Craft a new script to use when you face a threshold that will help move you through
