July 4th Volunteer Day | Seafair @ Gasworks Park

YPOSeattle was selected by Seafair as the nonprofit volunteering in the Main Beer Garden for the 4th of July fireworks show. We're using this as a chance for  community members - who are both, looking for something to do and who a want to connect with the Seattle community - to work along side the YPOSeattle team.

Volunteers will be handing out drinks and doing a little setup and cleanup. In exchange for your time, all volunteers will be given free access to all Seafair events including the Amazon Seafair 4th of July, and Seafair Weekend (Homestreet Bank Cup, Hydroplane Races, Boeing Airshow). 

About the Seafair Summer Fourth event: 

The Amazon Seafair Summer Fourth at Gas Works Park is the best way to experience the 4th of July in the Pacific Northwest. Voted one of the nation’s best fireworks shows by USA TODAY and Business Insider, Summer Fourth takes place on Lake Union in one of the best natural amphitheaters to experience the power and artistry of fireworks. Summer Fourth features a fully choreographed fireworks presentation accompanied by a musical score and a host of pre-show activities including live music, games, entertainment, food, and beer gardens. Thanks to the generosity of Seafair, all tips collected at the beer garden will be donated to YPCommunities!

We've broken volunteering down into 2 shifts so that volunteers can also enjoy the 4th of July festivities.
